Pensions is a complex and highly regulated field. There are many traps for the unwary with the potential to generate substantial financial liabilities for a business from even the smallest mistake or oversight. At FSP we recognise that pensions are an important issue for individuals and employers alike. This is why we have a pensions team made up of experienced and approachable advisers.

We cover all aspects of pension law, and can advise you in relation to occupational or personal pensions. We can offer a comprehensive service including:-

• advising on the pensions aspects of corporate transactions, including pension transfer provisions, due diligence, warranties and indemnities as well as the impact that restructuring can have on a pension scheme
• resolution of disputes and litigation – both in the High Court and before the Pensions Ombudsman
• advice to both trustees and employers on ongoing pension schemes, including advising on trustees' powers and duties;scheme documentation; compliance issues; and discrimination issues particularly with regard to sex and age; and
• setting up new pension arrangements, including personal pension schemes (for example Self-Invested Personal Pensions).

Where required we can work closely with pension scheme administrators and actuaries to produce practical and cost effective solutions.
