Marcus  Francis, Partner

 

Marcus joined FSP as a trainee and became a partner in April 2007, having already worked for city firm Ashurst where he became familiar with working on substantial value property transactions. Marcus qualified in March 2003. He now acts for a number of London and Thames Valley based clients in connection with the acquisition, leasing and general management of commercial property. He also acts for a number of national and international property investors in the acquisition and financing of commercial and residential properties. Marcus has a strong interest in agricultural property and advises many of the firm's farming clients.

Bridget  Crossley, Partner

 

Bridget trained with Reading firm Brain & Brain where she became partner in overall charge of property work in 1986. Bridget became a partner of FSP in April 2003. She is experienced in many sectors of the property market and is accustomed to dealing with multi-million pound acquisitions and disposals. Bridget also advises on development and landlord and tenant matters.

Philip  Seymour, Partner

 

Philip was one of the founding Partners of FSP in 1987. He qualified as a solicitor in 1972 and has worked in Reading throughout his professional career, developing a wide-ranging knowledge of the Reading business community. He has specialised in commercial property for many years and has considerable experience of land acquisitions, the property aspects of business acquisitions and landlord and tenant matters as they affect the commercial client. He is noted in Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession as a leader in the Real Estate sector. As well as his mainstream commercial property work, Philip has for many years acted for a number of schools and colleges offering a wide range of legal advice.

James  Burgess, Partner

 

James was, until recently, one of the senior partners at Pitmans and headed their property team for a number of years. He moved into Reading in 1989 and quickly became one of the highest profile individuals in the Thames Valley property scene. He has a wealth of experience in almost all aspects of commercial property. He joined FSP as a partner in June 2008.

Dean  Bickford, Partner

 

Dean qualified in 1999 and became a partner at FSP in April 2007 having worked for Boodle Hatfield in London's West End. He has broad experience in all aspects of commercial property including acting for investors, developers, landlords and tenants. Dean handles the property work in the sale of insolvent companies and brings his extensive knowledge and experience of commercial property to a number of groups in the firm.

Sarah  Wray, Partner

 

Sarah qualified in 1986 and joined FSP as a Partner in September 2004. She has extensive experience in all aspects of property law, specialising in complex residential matters, and heads our Residential Property Team.

Keith  Whyman, Consultant

 

Keith trained with Reading firm Brain & Brain where he became a Partner in 1979. Keith’s experience has been predominantly in the commercial property field working closely with the corporate team on large commercial transactions involving substantial property portfolios. Keith’s particular interest is in property development, from initial concept through the planning and environmental stage and finance, and on to acquisition and construction.

Simon  Roberts, Consultant

 

Simon trained at Slaughter and May and qualified in 1984 after which he worked in their commercial team. In 1988 Simon set up his own practice, TS Roberts & Co., specialising in residential and commercial property transactions. T S Roberts & Co merged with FSP in October 2001 and Simon now works as a Consultant in the residential and commercial property teams.

Rachel  Booth, Consultant

 

Rachel joined FSP as a Partner in 2003 and has over 10 years of experience in commercial property transactions. Rachel’s particular expertise is in development work and secured lending. She is used to acting for well known developers and leading banks, handling transactions of high complexity ranging in value from £1million to over £20 million.

Kelsie  Essenhigh, Consultant

 

Kelsie trained with FSP and qualified in 1996. Kelsie is accustomed to dealing with general landlord and tenant transactions and acting for clients with large commercial property portfolios. Keslie has a particular interest in the property matters of agricultural clients, both rural landowners and farmers. She also has considerable experience in dealing with housing associations.

Nick  Macintyre, Associate

 

Nick qualified as a solicitor in 1994, joining FSP in 2003 from a large central London practice where he specialised in commercial property transactions. Nick deals with a wide range of property matters including high value acquisitions and disposals, complex overage arrangements and landlord and tenant matters. Nick’s experience is reflected in the range of specialist groups of which he is a member. As well as playing a prominent role in the firm’s mainstream commercial property groups, Nick is a member of the firm’s charities group and the small business group.

Preetika  Verma, Solicitor

 

Preetika joined the firm in 2007 having previously worked for Pitmans where she specialised in plot sales. She qualified in November 2005. Preetika is a member of a number of groups in the firm including the property development group and the small businesses group.
