"The team only highlight what is relevant and make recommendations. The service is second to none." Chambers

Successful banking solutions require detailed knowledge of the lending and security requirements of the lender as well as a thorough understanding of the business objectives of their customers.  Drawing on the expertise of our banking, corporate, real estate and construction lawyers, we are ideally placed to provide seamless advice on a wide range of financial transactions, whether acting for the lender or the borrower.

When a business wishes to grow obtaining finance can be a major hurdle.  We adopt a commercial and pragmatic approach in our advice, mindful of the constraints lenders and borrowers are under in the current economic climate.  We are on a number of bank panels and regularly advise financial institutions, private investors and corporate borrowers on all legal aspects of property acquisitions, property development, corporate acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs and group reorganisations.  In recent years we have also been involved in the negotiations relating to significant debt restructuring.

We realise that timing can be critical and endeavour to meet the timetables agreed between the parties in an efficient manner.

Our areas of expertise include:

  • financing and refinancing corporate acquisitions
  • financing and refinancing acquisitions of commercial property
  • development loan facilities
  • mezzanine funding
  • bridge finance
  • preparing suites of lending documentation for private investors
  • all forms of security including legal charges, debentures, chattels mortgages, and other fixed charges
