Overview
Successful banking solutions require detailed knowledge of the lending and security requirements of the lender as well as a thorough understanding of the business objectives of their customers. Drawing on the expertise of our banking, corporate, real estate and construction lawyers, we are ideally placed to provide seamless advice on a wide range of financial transactions, whether acting for the lender or the borrower.
When a business wishes to grow, obtaining finance can be a major hurdle. We adopt a commercial and pragmatic approach in our advice, mindful of the constraints lenders and borrowers are under in the current economic climate. We are on a number of bank panels and regularly advise financial institutions, private investors and corporate borrowers on all legal aspects of working capital facilities, property acquisitions, property development funding, corporate acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs and group reorganisations. In recent years we have also been involved in the negotiations relating to significant project financings and debt restructurings.
We realise that timing can be critical and endeavour to meet the timetables agreed between the parties in an efficient manner.

The banking and finance team is highly experienced in advising on a wide range of financing transactions from large, complex LMA documented facilities deals involving multiple legal jurisdictions, short-term bridging finance for property developers to acquisition financing arrangements for corporate purchases or management buy-outs.
