Can you fairly dismiss an employee for any of the following reasons?

  • A personality clash with another member of staff;
  • A refusal to sign new post-termination restrictions;
  • At the request of a customer;
  • Due to a romantic relationship with another staff member.

The answer is that all of the above can potentially justify dismissal for “some other substantial reason” (SOSR). This seminar will explain how useful SOSR can be for dealing with problem employees, when there is no other obvious route to a dismissal.
