Immigration – the impact of Brexit

Are your UK based European citizens ready for Brexit?

Does your business risk losing key employees if they fail to register to remain in the UK before 31 December 2020?

In this seminar our immigration and employment experts will provide guidance and assistance on how employers can ensure that all affected employees are registered in the EU Settlement Scheme before the end of the transition period.  Many applications to the scheme are taking much longer than anticipated.  If European citizens fail to establish status under the EU Settlement Scheme, they will need to establish an alternative status to be eligible to remain in the UK.  It is only possible to determine eligibility after an application has been considered thoroughly.

If at the end of the transition period, European citizens fail to establish a visa status, they may have to leave the UK.

Employers must also be prepared to undertake new right to work checks from 1 January 2021 as European citizens will fall into the same category as third country nationals.

We will also provide an update on the latest Brexit developments.

You will be given comprehensive notes, there will be opportunities to ask questions and network and pastries and refreshments will be provided.
