Immigration Update – Webinar

In this live webinar, Head of Immigration, Imelda Reddington, Callum De Freitas and Victoria Ounsworth both immigration solicitors, will cover the latest immigration updates, including the recent hike in immigration fees, increases to penalties for failing to comply with right to work checks, improvements to the sponsorship management system (SMS), and the electronic travel authorization (ETA) scheme implementation.

We will look at the recent addition of roles to the shortage occupation list in the construction sector and the increases in the minimum salary rates for working visa routes.

We will discuss the new visa routes together with changes to existing routes to incorporate terms of trades deals with New Zealand, Australia and Canada and the changes to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) for individuals with pre-settled status.

We will review the improvements in the SMS, providing cost savings to registered sponsors.

We will recap on the Right to Work (RTW) process, incorporating the most recent changes.

Finally, we will look at the introduction of the Electronic Travel Authorisation Scheme being piloted by a limited number of countries from October 2023 to February 2024.  The scheme is expected to be fully implemented by 2025.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation.  We will be using interactive voting during the session to get you all involved. We will also be running our ever-popular prize draw quiz.
