London seminar: Contractors and IR35 – How to be prepared for the changes ahead
This free seminar will run on:
17 October 2019
10.00am: Registration and pastries
10.30am to 12.00pm: Seminar and questions
David Lloyd George Room, The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1PL
Are your self-employed contractors a risk to your business?
Are you ready for the IR35 changes impacting the private sector in April 2020?
In this unique seminar, our employment, tax and commercial contract experts will combine to provide guidance on how to manage the risks of self-employed contractors and the forthcoming changes to IR35 regulation.
Self-employed contractor relationships are increasingly being challenged by HMRC and the courts. Changes to IR35 legislation, already imposed on the public sector, will result in many private sector organisations having to determine the tax status of any contractors using a personal service company.
We will provide notes to take away, there will be opportunities to ask questions and network and a light breakfast is provided. There will be interactive voting and we will also be running our popular prize draw quiz.
“Perfect – succinct, practical advice with suggested action points”
“Engaging presentation, useful information and comprehensive handouts”
Registration for this free event is open to all, but the seminar is aimed at HR professionals (both in-house or those who are part of a HR consultancy), in-house counsel, company directors and anybody with responsibility for contractors within their organisation. We reserve the right to refuse entry or cancel any ticket in our discretion and for any reason. We may, in particular, choose to do so if you have not provided all the required registration information, due to the limited number of spaces available, if you don’t form part of our target audience or due to any previous inappropriate behaviour.
If you would like to attend this free seminar, please register via Eventbrite. If you are experiencing problems registering or would like to receive details of future events, please email Amanda Harvey Allum at [email protected].
