About Tim Brookes

Tim is a Legal Director in the Property Litigation team, with nearly 30 years’ experience across City and national firms, acting for large corporate occupiers, institutional landlords and developers, retailers, hotel and leisure operators, banks, charities, and with a wealth of knowledge in the residential sector. His clients and colleagues regard him as a business adviser first and a lawyer second. He is their go-to Counsel, due to his detailed understanding of all real-estate-related litigation; reaching beyond the 1954 Act, break notices, and dilapidations, to include complex options and development agreements, rights of light, restrictive covenants, overage, party walls, compulsory purchase, and difficult questions of contractual interpretation. Tim also advises on the property aspects of high-profile CVAs, administrations, and LPA receiverships. His clients say that he never gives advice in a vacuum and is always by their side, providing cost-effective and highly strategic guidance.
