Recent work undertaken by the group includes:

  • acting on acquisition of affordable housing element of large development site, including development agreement and construction aspects
  • work in relation to a variety of residential landlord and tenant disputes, including obtaining anti-social behaviour injunctions
  • dealing with the negotiation and completion of planning obligations including section 106 agreements and negotiation of planning conditions.  All done within tight timescales and working effectively with our client’s team of advisers including architects and planning consultants
  • practical and legal advice given to assist client plan for future development and use of its existing and substantial portfolio
  • negotiation and completion of release of onerous restrictive covenants, which were preventing the development of a large and valuable site
  • working with client to provide “health checks” for sites within its portfolio which may have development potential.  Such checks to include review of title and relevant search results to pinpoint any potential barrier.  Working with our client to overcome any problems at an early stage to avoid expensive mistakes later
  • proactive employment advice to many of our clients by our Human Resources Team.  This includes training sessions to HR and management, regular seminars and a monthly e-bulletin up-date on employment law issues
  • providing day-by-day support to staff employed by our clients by giving ad hoc advice when required on matters such as repairing obligations, how to avoid tenant disputes, tenant and property management and governance
