About Ian Machray
Ian is an employment Partner and is also the Head of our Business Services team, which encompasses all of our regular “business as usual” services including commercial contracts, dispute resolution, employment, immigration and intellectual property services.
As Head of Business Services he ensures that we offer a joined-up approach which transcends traditional legal practice areas and focuses uncompromisingly on our clients’ needs. Ian has a reputation for building strong and enduring relationships and for creating bespoke solutions for each client’s unique circumstances.
As an employment Partner Ian specialises in complex TUPE matters, post-termination restrictions and high value or technical tribunal litigation.
Ian has a reputation for providing clear, concise and pragmatic advice and has extensive experience on advising on all aspects of employment law. Ian has brought cases before the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal and has a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes in employment litigation. He enjoys assisting employers with their obligations under TUPE arising from corporate transactions and outsourcing. Ian also helps insolvency practitioners or potential buyers on TUPE obligations arising out of restructuring or insolvency scenarios.
He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
