This role has initially been created for a period of 18 months, with potential opportunity for a permanent position, we are looking for a talented, experienced In House Recruiter and Employee Value Proposition (“EVP”) expert to join us.

This is a key hire for us to have our first dedicated In-House recruiter to provide senior-level support to our hiring partners, to support the growth of the wider firm and to help shape the future of our social media presence in relation to our key recruitment activities.  It will be ground-breaking internally to really push our employer branding and talent acquisition both internally and externally.  Reporting to our Head of People, you will be responsible for defining and improving the implementation of the marketing around our talent strategy on our internal SharePoint, our FSP website and across our social media presence.

If you have proven experience in both talent acquisition and implementing tangible employee branding but are now looking for a role with clear actionable objectives – where you can make a significant impact – this could be the ideal next move.

The Role

The fixed term contract is initially for 18 months.  The focus of the role will be managing vacancies from approval stage through to offer, sourcing candidates and supporting line managers through the process.  This role is to start immediately.  For an exceptional candidate, we can also tailor the role to incorporate any other areas of HR where experience is sought on a project basis for EVP areas you’d like to develop further.

The role responsibilities will include:

  • Taking the lead on attracting new talent to support the firm’s growth. This may involve a mix of proactive direct approaches and continuing to work with established recruitment agents
  • Leading our candidate-facing marketing efforts, which may include graduate events, work experience programmes, and trainee/graduate recruitment
  • Delivering a project to enhance our employer brand through various channels—this may involve updates to our website, use of LinkedIn, and using our new Instagram account.
  • Liaising with functional leadership and HR throughout the recruitment process to ensure all recruitment issues are dealt with appropriately
  • Utilising direct sourcing methods such as LinkedIn, Job Boards and employee referrals.  Developing content to using different media, e.g. video, podcasts, articles, etc
  • Making recommendations based on a solid understanding of the recruitment process and functional business objectives
  • Ensuring our EVP is attractively communicated to strengthen our employer brand
  • Drive innovative and creative attraction campaigns, digital presence and recruitment marketing aligned to FSP’s values.
  • Work collaboratively with the HR team and other Operational teams as well as key hiring managers to achieve organisational growth
  • Leading on the design and delivery of key Podcasts

The successful candidate must have experience recruiting within the legal sector and you must have a solid in-house recruitment background to be considered for this role.  Experience of working in a large matrixed organisation is advantageous and an understanding of the complexities of recruiting in a law firm in growth is desirable.  Candidates who have experience recruiting fee-earners in an agency environment may also be considered.

This role also requires a very detail orientated and pragmatic individual who enjoys working in a fast pace environment. You must also be comfortable to work autonomously and be able to manage a high volume of roles.

Our busy Property Litigation team is looking to appoint a new qualified person between NQ and 3 PQE.

This role offers a great deal of variety. Beyond the typical landlord and tenant issues, boundary disputes and mortgage repossessions, you could be dealing with claims concerning rights of way, easements, drainage, restrictive covenants, profits a prendre and adverse possession claims affecting rural as well as urban property.

At FSP we have the largest Real Estate team in the Thames Valley and a large high-end residential property team.  With busy corporate and business services teams in addition, we have an impressive commercial client base which generates plenty of referral work for the property litigation team.  The team also has clients of its own and we would expect and encourage you to get involved in business development activities to grow this further.

You’ll already have some experience in property litigation, though you need not have experience in all the types of disputes listed above and may have other litigation experience. You will, however, be keen to take advantage of the learning opportunities this role presents.

The Role

Our residential property team cover all aspects of residential property from higher value sales and purchases with complex title issues, right through to first time purchases. We have members of the team who have a great deal of experience in new build properties which everyone in the team has benefited from, particularly as for some this is an area that can sometimes prove a challenge. We have a specialist team who deals with lease extensions and enfranchisement that you would be welcome to participate in. This means there is rarely a transaction one might come across where someone isn’t able to provide guidance or support. Our work comes from a variety of sources such that the team works on some really interesting transactions.

We hope that you will want to get involved in some of the business development activities that the team gets up to, which can range from regular smaller events with our referrers of work or participating in some of the larger events organised by the firm. Our Dispute Resolution & Litigation team boasts some enviable blue-chip clients and a caseload which includes complex domestic and cross-border disputes. We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Associate to work alongside two Partners, as well as a Consultant, a Legal Director, an Associate, a Solicitor, a Trainee (rotating) and a Paralegal.

As part of the team, you’ll build your experience working collaboratively on some challenging disputes while also running and building your own caseload.  The role offers a significant level of variety and interest.  You will work across a range of sectors and work-types, which may include professional indemnity, construction, breach of warranty claims and s.994 claims, commercial contract disputes, insolvency disputes, fraud, IP and international arbitration. Clients will span many sectors, including automotive, financial services, leisure, fisheries, logistics and FMCG.

You’ll need to be hard working, resourceful, responsive and resilient, with the ability to grasp new challenges and areas of law quickly and accurately.  You need to be able to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions tailored to a range of different clients.  You should have the ability to supervise and develop others and be willing to engage in peer-to-peer discussions with senior colleagues as part of a close-knit team.

You should have a following of clients or referrers or have a proven track record in winning new clients.  There is the potential for progression through to partnership if the successful candidate can demonstrate the skills we expect in accordance with our internal career framework.

FSP’s Agricultural and Rural Land team brings together the knowledge and expertise of highly experienced lawyers to provide a diverse range of specialisms. The team is best known for its attention to detail balanced with a pragmatic outlook, whilst not losing sight of the overall commercial terms of the transaction in hand. The team is known for its approachability and straightforward advice on complex agricultural transactions.

The wider Agricultural and Rural Land group consists of specialist Wills and Estates, trusts, litigation, family, corporate, partnership and employment lawyers.

The role

The role offers a significant level of variety and interest. You will work across a range of work-types, which will include more traditional agricultural property work, along with assisting clients with all manner of diversification projects. Clients will span many areas to attract your interest, ranging from farmers, landowners, investors, Universities and Colleges, advising on a whole range of agricultural and development work

Day to day work includes on a wide range of matters connected with rural property, including sales and acquisitions of agricultural land and buildings, property development, investment work, renewable energy projects, drafting overage provisions, farm-related tenancies including succession rights and surrenders, wayleaves and easements, and more. You may also get involved in supporting the wider real estate team.

You will receive good supervision and training, with the opportunity in time to build a name for yourself in a rewarding and varied discipline. The team will encourage you to get involved in business development opportunities as part of the team and firm generally.
