Apply for this roleA fantastic starting point to build a quality legal career.
Our Real Estate team is the one of the largest in the South East outside of London and prides itself on providing City quality advice. Our exceptional lawyers handle a wide range of property transactions – including the acquisition and disposal of interests in real estate on individual sites and property portfolios, planning, environment and construction work, landlord and tenant matters and taxation and finance issues. As a paralegal in the team you’ll get great experience by assisting qualified lawyers across the transactional (non-contentious) teams. The role is more than simply helping them with administrative tasks, although some occasional admin work will be required. The majority of your time will be spent in client work including: reviewing and reporting on legal documents, undertaking research, preparing reports, drafting correspondence, undertaking company searches, client due diligence, on-line data room management, drafting and filing SDLT returns and assisting with (and, in time, managing) exchanges and completions on property transactions. You could find yourself working on any type of property work happening within the team. As your experience develops, you’ll have direct client contact and increasing responsibility.
We think it’s a great starting point to build a quality legal career. We’re passionate about development at FSP, and so, for the successful candidate, we’d encourage conversations with you around opportunities we have at FSP for training to qualify as a solicitor.
Candidates must have a strong academic record including, as a minimum, a 2.1 law degree or PGDL/conversion commendation and be able to commit to a full-time role. You’ll be able to demonstrate a strong intellect, excellent communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Paralegal experience would be helpful but is not essential to your application. We are also happy to consider applications from Team Assistants seeking a career in a key-critical support role and/or those wishing to develop their skills and become a Paralegal.
