FSP advises on the purchase of Arleigh Group

Field Seymour Parkes LLP advises LKQ Euro Limited, subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed LKQ Corporation, on its purchase of Arleigh Group.

A team at FSP led by corporate partner Jeremy Parkes has advised longstanding client LKQ Euro Limited, best known in the UK as the trade based and retail car parts specialist Euro Car Parts Limited, on its purchase of the entire issued share capital of Arleigh Group Limited, which operates under the trading names of Arleigh International, Nova Leisure and Midland Chandlers, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition further expands LKQ’s specialist products division.

Arleigh, whose head office is based in Warwickshire, is a market leading distributor of products and accessories to the UK caravan, holiday home, motorhome and inland marine markets. It started trading over 45 years ago and has demonstrated consistent organic growth as well as growth by acquisition through a variety of market conditions, offering over 13,000 product lines to its loyal customers.

Jeremy Parkes was assisted on the transaction by corporate solicitor Rachael Maunder.

Walter Hanley, Vice President of Development, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at LKQ Corporation said:

“We were pleased with FSP’s professionalism and responsiveness. They understood the important issues and helped us complete the transaction in our desired timeframe.”
