In this one hour webinar, Head of Immigration, Imelda Reddington, covers the latest immigration updates, including right to work changes, the deadline for registration in the EU Settlement Scheme and sponsorship compliance.
We demonstrate how to use the online right to work checking system which employers must use for EU nationals starting employment from 1 July. We review the changes on right to work for EU nationals, including what employees can do if EU nationals cannot provide their immigration status from 1 July 2021. We also look at the practicalities of resuming in person right to work checks on 21 June.
With many employers registering as sponsors, we discuss the importance of maintaining compliance with sponsorship duties. We provide guidance to prepare for a compliance audit should the Home Office want to visit your premises.
Finally, we discuss some of the proposed changes to the immigration system to come into force later this summer and early next year.
