Associate
Callum is an Associate in our Employment and Immigration teams, having joined the firm in July 2020.
On the employment side, Callum assists businesses and individuals with a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters, including settlement agreements, disciplinaries, grievances, dismissals, redundancies, and employment tribunals. He also drafts bespoke documents, including handbooks, policies, service agreements and employment contracts, and provides clients with day-to-day advice on ad hoc employment law matters.
As for immigration, Callum has experience with both business and personal immigration, advising companies and individuals alike. He regularly assists clients with Skilled Worker visa applications for their migrant workers, while also helping organisations obtain and manage their sponsor licences. Callum has experience resolving complex issues for individuals relating to the EU Settlement Scheme, retained rights, and Indefinite Leave to Remain, as well as with errors on eVisas and passports.
Callum’s cross-specialisation background in both employment and immigration gives him a unique perspective from which to advise clients. His knowledge of employment law and drafting allows him to advise business immigration clients on what clauses to include in their migrant workers’ employment contracts, as well as on risks relating to discrimination and premature dismissals. Similarly, his understanding of immigration law and the sponsorship process enables him to advise employers on their options for hiring from overseas, and the associated costs and timescales.
Callum is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association and the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association, and regularly writes articles for our website, updating clients on the ever-changing landscapes of employment and immigration law. He has provided in-depth training on the Right to Work regime and has delivered talks on handling grievance investigations and the impacts of 2025’s Immigration White Paper.
