David is a Legal Director in our Employment team. Known for a thorough and detailed approach to his work, he draws on a wealth of legal and practical experience to help employers navigate an ever-changing employment law landscape. A reliable and responsive lawyer, David builds long-lasting relationships with his clients by providing strategic advice which takes account of real-world pressures and objectives.

While David’s expertise spans the full range of employment law issues, he has a particular interest in cases involving disability discrimination, senior level exits and the ‘IR35’ intermediaries legislation. David also enjoys advising on niche and developing areas of the law, and is adept at dealing with matters requiring bespoke drafting solutions. He regularly handles litigation in the employment tribunal and works in tandem with our corporate team on employment issues arising from business investments, sales and acquisitions (including in insolvency scenarios).

In addition to his client-facing work, David plays a key role in ensuring the team’s suite of precedent documents is always maintained to a high standard. He also frequently contributes to articles, webinars and seminars on the latest developments in employment law. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
