About Ian Smith
Ian is the firm’s Director of Finance. Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in Reading. Throughout his 14 years with PwC Ian gained experience in a wide variety of businesses and transactions including the privatisation of a government authority, AIM listings and corporate finance transactions. He also worked in California for two years under the international exchange programme.
He has worked as a finance professional in a range of companies, including leading an MBO from a French parent company and head of finance for a group of property companies. In addition to these executive roles, Ian has been non-executive director of a number of companies ranging from large manufacturing businesses to small media companies.
As well as the leading the finance team at FSP, Ian supports the lawyers in matters relating to accounting and finance.
