Rob Crowther is a Partner in the Wills, Trusts and Estates team at FSP.
Rob specialises in all aspects of estate administration matters, including obtaining Grants of Probate and Grants of Letters of Administration and dealing with the day-to-day administration of estates. Rob has administered a number of complex estates involving the drafting of detailed Inheritance Tax Accounts, the aggregation of trusts within Inheritance Tax calculations, foreign assets, as well as advising on and drafting Deeds of Variation.
Rob also advises in relation to Wills and Inheritance Tax planning matters, as well as advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney (both "property and affairs" and "health and welfare" LPAs) and LPA registration applications. Rob is also experienced in dealing with Court of Protection matters including applications for deputyship orders, approval of gifts and removal of trustees.
Rob also has experience of contentious probate matters, having acted on claims in relation to testamentary incapacity, lack of due knowledge and approval, undue influence and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, as well as having advised beneficiaries in relation to disputes regarding the administration of estates.
Rob is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and a student member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
