Rob is a Partner in the Wills, Trusts and Estates team advising clients on Wills and on all aspects of lifetime tax planning and asset protection matters.
Rob advises on all Wills and Inheritance Tax planning matters, as well as advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney (both “property and affairs” and “health and welfare” LPAs) and LPA registration applications. Rob is also experienced in dealing with Court of Protection matters including applications for deputyship orders, approval of gifts and removal of incapacitated trustees.
Rob specialises in all aspects of complex, high value estate administration matters, including obtaining Grants of Probate and Grants of Letters of Administration and dealing with the day-to-day administration of estates and family trusts. Rob has administered a wide range of complex estates involving high value asset portfolios, business and agricultural assets, multi-jurisdictional assets, the interaction of family trusts from an Inheritance Tax perspective and the establishment of family trusts arising from estates to protect family wealth effectively where appropriate.
Rob also acts as an executor, trustee and attorney for clients and has a strong network of professional advisors who he works with to ensure clients’ interests are protected and developed through longstanding relationships.
Rob also has experience of contentious probate matters, having acted on claims in relation to testamentary incapacity, lack of due knowledge and approval, undue influence and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, as well as having advised beneficiaries in relation to disputes regarding the administration of estates.
Rob is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Law Society Private Client Section.
