About Sue Vandersteen
Sue is a Partner in the Wills Trusts and Estates team specialising in advising clients in Wills, trusts and lifetime tax planning, as well as the administration of estates and trusts including tax planning and asset protection for future generations.
Sue has a special interest in assisting vulnerable beneficiaries and their families with asset protection planning to include lifetime trusts and trusts created under Wills. Sue has connections with a number of charities assisting adults with special needs and is a trustee/director of local charity Purley Park who provide accommodation and care for such adults. Sue also acts as a deputy for a number of clients requiring assistance in this area.
Sue is a member of FSP’s Farming and Estates team advising farming and agricultural clients with their farming partnerships and companies with particular focus on succession planning for future generations and tax planning around agricultural and business property relief.
Sue acts as a trustee for a number of trusts including a large family trusts and as a director of the trusts’ property owning companies.
Sue also acts as attorney for a number of clients requiring this service and regularly advises clients on the preparation of lasting powers of attorney and advising in relation to deputyship matters.
Sue is a full STEP member and acts as professional trustee for trusts where clients require a trustee in this capacity where there are disputed or conflict matters.
