FSP advises on Academy Insurance MBO

The corporate team at Field Seymour Parkes has advised Dave Bard and Kevin Munn, owners of the Academy Insurance group, on a management buy-out. The group is now led by the existing management team Neil Turner and Vanessa Farrelly, whilst Dave Bard and Kevin Munn remain involved in the group in non-executive roles.

Academy Insurance is a trusted and established provider of insurance with more than 15 offices throughout the country, with its head office being in Pangbourne, Berkshire. Academy offers a wide range of products from motor to life insurance, with a focus on getting to know its clients and their specific needs.

FSP have advised Academy Insurance since its acquisition by Dave and Kevin ten years ago.

The team at FSP was led by corporate partner Penelope Garden with assistance from Alex Illingworth (banking senior associate).
