FSP advises on the sale of Beste Jeffers Ltd

The Corporate team at Field Seymour Parkes LLP has advised Iletpro Holdings Ltd on the sale of its subsidiary Beste Jeffers Ltd to Clifton and Butlers.

Beste Jeffers is a Bristol based lettings agent which traded under the Iletpro brand. Prior to completion the day to day management of the business was undertaken by the company’s sole director, Roland Tao.

Roland began Iletpro to set up a business that made letting easy for property investors where English wasn’t their first language. He developed his idea around an automated digital platform that would act as the agent for both landlords and tenants, effectively resolving the language and cultural barriers between the two. Along with this technical innovation, Roland added service innovation, giving landlords easier access to the market with an all-inclusive package. This covered all the ancillary letting services from repairs to insurance. Roland will be continuing to run the automated digital platform but found an excellent purchaser in Clifton and Butlers to take over the lettings portfolio of the business.

Clifton and Butlers is owned by Ian Stolworthy and Philip Stolworthy and the acquisition of Beste Jeffers Ltd is part of its recent growth in the Bristol property market. Roland is confident that Clifton and Butlers will continue to provide Beste Jeffers’ customers with the high service levels they have become accustomed to.

The transaction was led by Corporate Solicitor Ross Brymer with assistance Edward Deutrom (Trainee Solicitor, Corporate). The transaction was overseen by Corporate Partner Penelope Garden.

Roland Tao commented: “The team at FSP were great at explaining the different elements of a corporate transaction to me and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future or recommend them to anyone looking to sell their business!”
