FSP advises on the sale of Unicomm Limited
The corporate team at Field Seymour Parkes has advised the shareholders of Unicomm Limited on their recent sale to Babble.
Unicomm is a leading provider of unified communications solutions specialising in fixed line telephony, hosted telephony and maintenance services. Since being founded by Gary Roberts and Simon Drew in 2009, Unicomm has built up a loyal SME and commercial customer base. 14 years later Gary and Simon were looking to exit the business and wanted to ensure that any buyer would continue to provide Unicomm’s customers with the high service levels they have become accustomed to.
Babble, a market leading and rapidly growing unified communications, contact centre and cyber solutions provider, seemed to be the perfect fit. The acquisition by Babble is part of the company’s continued rapid acquisitive growth, with it having completed over 30 acquisitions since the start of 2019. Gary and Simon are confident that the team at Babble with their increased resources and available solutions will allow for the seamless transition of Unicomm’s customers with the potential for them to explore new products.
The transaction was led by Corporate Partner Philip Stephenson with assistance from Corporate Solicitor Ross Brymer and Employment Solicitor Callum De Freitas.
