The Corporate team at Field Seymour Parkes have advised the shareholders of Chris Knott Insurance Consultants Limited and ACF Holdings Limited on the sale of both companies to leading UK broking and Insurance group, Jensten Group (Jensten).
Chris Knott Insurance Consultants, founded in 1983 made their start by offering tailored insurance solutions to car owners clubs. Since then, they have been able to build strong and long-term relationships with both individual and commercial clients. They are most known for their niche motor scheme focusing on classic cars and owners club vehicles and providing tailored insurance solutions for churches, charities and community groups.
This acquisition forms part of Jensten’s strategy of increasing their presence within the London and South East regions. It follows last year’s announcement of Jensten’s acquisition of specialist broker Berns Brett which FSP also advised on.
Commenting on the sale, Neil Franklin said “At Chris Knott, our commitment has always been to deliver the very best for our clients. We know that this dedication is shared by Jensten, making them the obvious choice for us to partner with. Joining Jensten will enable us to leverage the resources and reach the business has built, allowing us to provide an even better service to our clients. We look forward to what the future has in store for our clients and colleagues with the support of the team at Jensten.”
On working with FSP, Neil Franklin, Peter Cutler and Alison Acland commented:
“We cannot speak highly enough of Harriet and the team at FSP. Their guidance and expertise were invaluable throughout the complex process of selling our company. Harriet always kept us informed and reassured, her in depth knowledge and ability to navigate & negotiate on intricate issues was impressive and gave us confidence we were in good hands. They had a friendly and proactive approach & we would wholeheartedly recommend Harriet and FSP to anyone considering a company sale ”
The team at FSP was led by Corporate Associate Harriet Wright with supervision from Philip Stephenson (Partner, Corporate) and Ian Wood Smith (Partner, Corporate), and assistance from David Clay (Legal Director, Employment), Joanna Stepien (Associate, Real Estate) and Thelma Brako (Trainee Solicitor, Corporate).
