Field Seymour Parkes advises on sale of Independents Insurance
A team at FSP led by Penelope Garden has advised the shareholders of Independents Insurance on the sale of the company to MRIB Group, a leading UK chartered insurance broker.
Independents are a specialist and chartered insurance broker based in Reading with expertise in insurance for the UK’s health and fitness sector amongst other commercial areas. In particular, Independents is partnered with the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP) as their UK provider for trampoline park insurance and risk management programs. Independents is also recognised for developing their tailored Rebound scheme, providing bespoke insurance solutions for the Health and Fitness Sector.
The acquisition by MRIB expands their expertise into the leisure sectors which adds to their portfolio of corporate insurance, private client insurance and financial services.
The team at FSP was led by corporate partner Penelope Garden assisted by fellow corporate partner Ian Wood-Smith, with employment advice provided by employment associates David Clay and property advice from real estate partner Richard Higgs.
