About Ruo Wu
Ruo is the head of the charity and not-for profit group and a bilingual solicitor who trained in London and qualified at an international magic circle firm where she worked for almost two years before joining the FSP corporate team in 2019. Ruo specialises in supporting both organisations and individuals in the charity and not-for profit (“NFP”) sectors.
Ruo advises domestic and international charities, from charitable trusts, charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs), charitable companies, chartered bodies, unincorporated not-for-profit associations and local authorities and those that run such organisations on a wide range of matters including incorporation, mergers and acquisition, dissolution, investments, disposals and regulation. She also assists both charities and corporate organisations with general day to day governance related matters and company secretarial support.
Ruo also works closely with the trustees of the FSP Foundation and uses the knowledge she has gained in her 10 years of working with and advising various third sector organisations in both the UK and China to help develop FSP’s charities and NFP working group.
Ruo is also a member of the Charity Law Association.
Being passionate about all things charity related you will often see Ruo involved in local charity related projects or raising funds for charity. Ruo also regularly records podcasts for our Charities and not-for-profit channel where she interviews representatives of third sector organisations and shares their invaluable work.
